He: You know, I'm considering to keep some kind of journal.
She: Like a teenager girl? He: Hahah cute. But no. Like... A book of things I think and can't say to you right away. She: Mmm so you can rehearsal all these beautiful things you say to me?He: Well, not rehearsal but... That way I know I won't lose anything. She: Honey... I love your spontaneity. But it's ok, I let you practice on your speechs a little, that will be funny, at least. He: And I love your honesty, you know that... In fact... There is something I wanted to tell you, but...She: Shoot dear. He: Well it's one of those silly things we think during the day... Not important. She: Just so you know, if you don't yet, I also love your silly thoughts. He: Precious... The thing is... I miss telling you these silly things during the week. Like... These days I have had this sensation that... My hair feels softer. She: Mmm... You know what, it really does. That's funny. He: Maybe this new hair cut. She: Maybe... Or it's my finger's fault. He: That is what I was thinking from the beginning. It had to do it with you. Everything's good in me has.
She: You know, there's a bar with that name...He: I know. I mean... I couldn't stand being away from you anymore. She: I know... It was a tough week. We haven't seen each other since monday. He: Yeah. In fact, I was thinking today...She: Oh honey, that's what you do the entire day hahah...He: Hahah anyway... I was thinking... It's so unfair that we do different things... For work, I mean. She: Why is that? He: Because... Your co-workers see you and can be near you way more than I do.She: And that's what's unfair? He: Well, yeah... I mean... Your boyfriend spend the weekends with you and occasionally have lunch or dinner with you... But they do all these stuff everyday. As lucky as I am they seem more than I do...She: Mmm perhaps. But you see, if we worked together we would end up arguing or something like that. He: I'd find that amusing. Since, you know, we never do that. She: Yeah... What is our problem? He: Oh no problem of course. We're just crazy about each other.[...]She: Mmm you're right. The other couples are the ones with problems.
He: Now I know what's like being trolled by you... Life is funny.
She: Ohh dear don't be sad. We finally discovered something to disagree on. Do you realize that? He: I do. We are a unique couple after all. And you choose to support my team's biggest rival so we can disagree in one thing? She: It's nice to feel like this, at least when your team loses. Which isn't that common, you know better than me.He: It's better than yours hahah. She: Well they just lost at the very end of the game... So, tonight I'm the one who makes the jokes here mister! He: Ok, ok... But you know, altough it's nice to have these 'little fights'... I feel crushed. She: Why honey? He: Because... I'm being trolled by the person I love the most in the world... It doesn't feel good... But it's ok, it's only fair... You be prepared when your team loses! She: What are you gonna do?He: Ohh I'm not telling you now. I'm having the most evil thoughts I've ever had about you! She: Mmm I'm scared hahah. But now you owe me a jersey of my team! He: I will give you. Just because we are still a perfect couple. She: I know... Isn't funny that the fact that we disagree about one single thing makes us even more perfect, if that is possible?..He: Yeah. Like the 'infinit' symbol. Just perfect.
He: Well maybe they are more passionate than the couple from the other movie... You can't measure these things. She: Or... The actors from the other movie weren't as involved as these are!He: Mmm... But there's a matter of chemistry between them. Not how passionate the charachters are. She: See, but that's why I say... Cinema love isn't always stunning. It's rare actually. Even on movies...[...]He: Now I must agree with you, that is a hell of a kiss. She: Do you think they make out off the cameras?..He: Well... I wouldn't be surprised... But you know, both have pairs... In this case, at least. She: Yeah... How come we ended up discussing movie kisses again? I kinda got lost about this. He: You said that we don't kiss like the movies and I disagreed. She: But we haven't. I would remember these things. He: Honey... All our kisses are movie kisses. You just can't remember what was like not having a movie kiss before me. No false modesty. She: Weirdly that makes sense, mister...He: And that's why I disagreed with you. We kiss like the movies because we have cinema love. Simple math. She: Math? He: You know... Well... I guess 'simple facts' would have been better. She: Honey... You get better everyday...
She: That's why I said it's better for us to solve this now. Because it's the beginning. If we pretend to forget someday it will came up. And will be worst.
He: But what's to solve? We're togheter, doing fine... If I'm with you I am 100% sure about it.
She: But you weren't when we started. I just wanna make sure I'm not wasting my time here, see?
He: Honey... You're not. I promise. I know I had issues with my ex. But I'm over her. It's all about you.
She: I hope so. Because, you know... The fact that it's different now, with a whole new person, doesn't mean that it can't be different... For the better.
He: I know... And that's one of the reasons why I like you so much.
She: What reason?
He: You're clever. And sexy... How come I got to meet a woman like you? I'm lucky!
He: Hey... Some guys told at work told me today that I keep whistling all the time.
She: And do you?He: Well, not all the time... But you know, they said I'm doing that a lot, so... I was wondering if it's true. She: Well. You do that a lot.He: You didn't tell me that... Is it annoying? I can stop...She: Actually I don't mind at all. It's nice because I try to figure which music you're whistling...He: Mmm... Also... There's another thing. She: Shoot. He: Those guys said that the reason I'm doing it is... Because of you. She: Oh they're right. I noticed that too. *laughs*He: And you didn't say a word... Clever girl. Seeing me happy and kinda dork. She: It's nice to see someone in love. Other than me, of course. He: Of course. Now... You're never gonna figure which music I'm gonna whistle. Ready?
He: What do you mean? We're both calm. A calm couple.
She: Yes, but... Not as a couple. You are calm. About everything, apparently.
He: Mmm. Not about everything but I guess we could say I am.
She: Yes. More than me, for sure. And I know your parents, your brothers, they're not like you at all!
...
He: I guess I am. Well, I think of you a lot, you know that.
She: What does this have to do with it?
He: It's where the calm come from... When I'm not with you I think about you. If I'm nervous it gets me calmer.
She: And when we're together?
He: Ohh that's better of course. I mean, even though we don't spend that much time together, mainly weekends and lunchs and dinners sometimes... When I'm with you the time doesn't matter. Time is ours. While it happens, it's...
She: Infinit?
He: Exactly. See dear... We're just perfect together.
He: How come we never discussed about music? We have such different tastes.
She: Not that different, we have a lot in common.
He: We do. But at the same time we like things way different...
She: Mmm I guess you're right. I guess we never argue.
He: About anything?
She: Well, can you remember? I don't. I guess we're a rare couple after all.
He: Well we are... But it's funny how every friends we have complain about their boyfriends and girlfriend and we're all like "Ohh okay, that never happened to us!" right?
She: If you think about... Everyone... Or should I say, every couple at least, has some things in common and some things way different. That story that some people are 100% equal and have the same taste must be bs. I mean... You can't have the exactly same taste as your boyfriend or girlfriend and neither have anything at all in common.
He: I guess you're right.
She: Unless we're talking about empty tasteless people. Which exists, also...
He: Ohh I'm so glad I have you. You know, it's something to be proud of. Some guys have this gorgeous models as girlfriends. Others has this annoying ones. And I have the perfect woman.
She: Of course you don't tell them that, right?
He: Well, of course not... I'm lucky but I'm not stupid. I want you for me, with all your perfection. Last thing I need is competition!
She: Ohh I was wondering where was this portrait...
He: You didnt know I took it?She: If I did you would be grounded for a week. I like this photo...He: Yeah, me too. Very much. That's why I took it. And you didn't say anything so I thought you were ok with this...She: Ok, so I guess you wont return it right? He: Ahh... I wouldn't like to... See, I love this photo. I took it. You look amazing. Not that you don't look amazing everyday... But it's static. You, looking at me, the park, the sun...She: It was a nice day...He: Really was. Plus... It was our first... Six months right? She: Yeah. You feel painfully tired of me right? Hahah. He: Hahahah hell no! That's why I took it, actually. She: Why? You're always misterious when you want to say something nice to me.He: That's how I got you! *wink* Anyway, I took the portrait from your bedroom because... It was our first months... And when I look to your face, frowning because of the sun... Smiling... I remember everything that I might forget eventually. And then I know that I can treat you better in the next day. She: The next day?He: Yeah. I mean, I always look at this portrait when I'm alone here. But it's the last thing I do before sleep. Look at this picture of you and remember this day. Then I think "ohh I can treat her better tomorrow". And that's what a I try to do everyday, I hope I'm succeeding... Am I?She: Mmm... Fortunately, for you, tonight we're gonna get to sleep together. So I'll answer you tomorrow. He: It's fine by me. Another day to love you more!
He: It's not even sunny. She: I know but look at this clouds. The haze is strong. He: Hmmm I guess. You're really white, must feel the sun more intensively than I do.She: Hahah funny. You should pass some too. I know you'll regret later...He: Yeah, me too. But you know, it's nice to get sunburned when I have you to pass some lotion at me later. She: Oh now I got you. Smart. Do you know that disease...He: What? She: That one you get by taking a lot of sun. Skin cancer! He: That was mean. She: Ohh my funny smart little man. Hahah come here, I need you to pass the sunscreen in my face. He: I will if you do the same with the lotion on me later. She: Ohh you and your lotion. Get a room hahahah. He: Hahah funny girl, let me see... Geez, this white face is really pretty. Hello freckles! She: Shut up, you know I hate them! He: Well I don't. I love them. See... They seem to me like the stars in a beautiful sky. She: Ohhh mister that was corny. He: I know, but what can I do? It's the truth. She: I liked... Also... Between us what our hearts says is what matters. Others are just expectators.
He: Remember that day when I asked you how is your favorite part of the day?
She: That was like a month ago.He: Yeah, so you remember. She: What's about it?He: Can I add another one? She: Well I didn't know this was a game. But tell me.He: When we don't get to see each other and the only talk we do is on the phone or over the internet... And I get home, take a shower and come stumbling to the computer to see that little window twinkling. She: Really? He: Well... It's the first of many smiles of the night. I guess that's why. She: You realized that all your favorite moments involve some kind of pain? He: Exactly. The same pain in all of them. Being far from you. She: At least it's not like living in different cities..He: That would be real pain.
She: I'm sorry that I raised my voice with you on the phone... It was a bad day.
He: I know. I can't get mad at you, you know? Can't say if that's either good or bad.
She: Both, I guess. I mean, it's good that you can't but also it's bad because you're my balance.
He: Your balance?
She: Yeah, you know that. Who do I listen to? Not my mother, not my friends, at least not always... But the trust I have in you is unique. That's why I feel ashamed...
He: Apologies accepted. I know it's a simple transference. After all, it's better to do it with your "pillow" than with your boss right?
She: It is, but that asshole desearves... Anyway, thank you again, dear. You're not mad at all then?
He: How can I? Even if I did, holding you like this turns everything back to the right place.
She: Favorite? I don't know. I have fun when we can get to lunch together. He: Yeah, but that doesn't happen everyday. She: That's why I can't say. What's yours mister? He: I asked you because I'm between two... And I thought you would pick one of those...She: Will you tell me or it's a secret? He: Hahah secret, good one. As if you don't know everything I do or think. *wink*She: Maybe, funny guy. So, tell me, you know I'm curious! He: Well... First one is when I'm arriving at home and you call me to say that you're comming. Or when I go to your place at friday and we can get to finally sleep together. Second is...She: Oh wait. You already said two! And you picked good ones I guess...He: No, that counts as one! It's the same principle! Anyway, the second you might not like...She: Mmm try me.He: When we have to say good night and sleep... And how it tortures me.She: That is a favourite part of the day for you? Wow, my boyfriend is a masochist! *laughs*He: Hahah you may laugh all you want. But that "I want her now!" feeling is trully a good one. That's what counts, despite the fact that you sleep at least an hour before me and I have to work it out till' my sleep arrives...She: Ok, you got me... That is a nice one.He: Right. But we still have to solve this distance problem. Because along with this "I want her now!" feeling there is the "Somebody kill me please!" feeling. And you know, it would be safer for both of us if we lived together...She: Yeah, we have to solve this. But first we must go to the corner market, we ran out of beers. He: Oh I love you!
She: What? He: I was at the meeting and my boss asked me to define our monthly results. She: To define? Is he a dork? He: Well, kinda... But he wanted an adjective cause he only knows 'marvelous', aparently. She: Well, where is the fun?He: I couldn't say an adjective for thirty seconds or something like that. Felt like eternity. She: Wow, you really know how to laugh about yourself... Wasn't that awkward? He: It was, that's why it was so funny. She: You have to help me on that, I'm not seeing the fun...He: The adjectives... My adjectives... You took them all. She: Mmmm nice try mister. That was lack of coffee, don't blame it on me.He: I mean it. I'm gonna need one or two so I can work alright. You had to be THIS perfect...

He: Cause I realized that our last thoughts of the day doesn't matter.
She: Our? Isn't this about you?
He: Ok, mine. But what I mean is that I dream about things I think about during the day. Possible or imaginary. 'Consolidated' thoughts, I'd say.
She: So you don't think about me during the day. Nice compliment.
He: No! I mean, of course I do!
She: I'm listening.
He: It's just that... It's automatic during the day. I don't have to put some effort to think about you. But before I sleep I force myself to it because of this vain hope that I'll dream about you and wake up better.
She: That's nice. But perhaps the problem is this wish of waking up better...
He: What do you mean?
She: I mean you're looking for a motive to sleep better, wake up better. Is that why you want to dream with me?
He: Well... I feel fine when I'm awake because thinking of you is something natural. But my dreams are awfull and that's unfair, cause the last thing I think about is the sweetest one.
She: How about the first?
He: First? I wake up wanting to die.
She: Because of your dreams?
He: Not actually. I'm used to them, just want to dream with you because I guess I'd wake up better. Because of something else...
She: And do you know what?
He: Yeah... I wake up wanting to die because I don't dream about you and I don't sleep with you.
He: All I have for you are my words. She: I need more than just words! He: They're already yours. All of them. She: Then if I take them what will you have? He: If I have you that won't matter. She: Cause I will... He: Do you promise you'll return them? She: So you like them that much. He: As I told you, without you they're just empty words. She: What do you want them? He: You to take them. pause She: What else? He: They will still be yours as they always've been. Take them, but don't leave me. long pause She: Was it that hard for you to say that you love me? He: I'm probably the worst passionate guy ever...
Well, yesterday seing the daily news on Twitter, as usual, I got this movie review by UOL Cinema [a popular web portal in Brazil]. Every friday I glance at the premiéres to find out if there is something that interests me, even though I am a movie buff denatured ...
I saw the story about "The Time Traveler's Wife" [note: POOR name in Portuguese- "I Will Love You Forever". It's almost an insult to the viewer to be treated as part of a public that only knows how to pick movies by name, or books by the cover]. Apart from the infamous name, saw the photos and read the review about the movie. I never give a damn about criticism, because critics are failed filmmakers / wannabes. As I read I learn more about the film and the plot, because that's how I choose a movie to go to the movies. Since I really like subjects like time travels [is always something interesting] and also the cast was something really good -Rachel McAdams, which dispenses praise and also a bit of curiosity to see if Eric Bana is a really good actor, I went to the movies. I endured very patient over an hour waiting for the film session. The public was good, almost crowded room, an SOB behind me kicking my chair and with his nextel on -which by the way, rang at the end of the movie... Anyway, back to the movie -which my friend Karen seems to have hated- I'll say what I think about it ... I spent the whole movie trying to decipher and anticipate the 'puzzle' proposed, after all, when talking about time travel, the subject 'change the past / future' is always there, pardon the pun ... I got, think, successfully knowing what would happen and what was -REALLY-happening. The funny thing was to hear comments [specially from the sob behind me] wondering what was happening there and I understanding very well the film. The first part is devoted to the novel- the ROMANCE I mean, cause I havent' read the book- and the second to the 'drama' about the story. Worked well-run, avoided the cliches, a good movie for all ages [something that the infamous name in Portuguese can spoil]. Anyway, I love watching movies with themes to digest, decipher things to discuss after seeing it, and I think that is what I will do now ...
Just to add something I forgot on the Portuguese post: Eric Bana, now, really convinced me. Or maybe -maybe- its Rachel that captivated him. I wouldn't doubt it...
Just testing, yet. But promise posting in english and portuguese. This blog will be just for myself, because I like to writing, but everyone are welcome to read, commenting and suggesting anything. Welcome :]
Apenas testando, ainda.
Ela concordou.
O nervosismo e a pressa inexplicável fez ambos queimarem a língua.
–perguntou a garota-
- Bom...
